From the meeting between Tenute Orestiadi and theBrera Academy of Fine Arts the desire to express on the label what is breathed in every day takes shape barriques, in which wine finds its most harmonious form and art overturns emotions, touching the most intimate strings of the human soul.
Opificio Gibellina wants to represent, thanks to the contribution of 5 artists - Stefano Pizzi, Gaetano Grillo, Nicola Salvatore, Pietro Coletta, Enzo Esposito - the essence not only of Tenute Orestiadi, but of the city itself, which since its new foundation has had a fundamental fulcrum in art, which daily supports agricultural production aimed at enhancing the peculiarities of the territory.
A Red wine whose grapes are grown right in the Belìce Valley, near the Grande Cretto di Alberto Burri – Vecchia Gibellina, carefully selected and hand-picked.
Gaetano Grillo was born in Molfetta (BA) in 1952, at eighteen he moved to Milan to study Sculpture with Alik Cavaliere atBrera Academy where he then became professor of Painting; Grillo, in fact, already in 1976 in one of his exhibitions personal in Milan, he forcefully declares his return to painting, anticipating what happened in the 1980s throughout the West.
Artist but also animator cultural, writer and journalist, he founded and directed for 10 years the quarterly magazine Academy of Fine Arts and the online magazine www.academy-of.eu
His activity as a cultural animator has seen him as a protagonist of greats reviews international; recently, a film about his artistic vocation was made with the Puglia Film Commission, an Italian-Montenegrin-Albanian production, directed by Alexander Vujovic.
He currently lives between Milan and Arena Po (Pavia), an art village where he founded and directs the Museum MAAAPO, Museo Arte Ambiente Arena Po and where he is creating his own personal museum in an ancient farmhouse of over three thousand square metres.
