Terre Siciliane IGP

Fresh, young, full of energy. A balanced red with great olfactory power, faithful to the characteristics of one of the most widespread allochthonous vine in the world, but now an integral part of the history of Sicily: Syrah. It comes from a careful manual harvest, carried out at the end of August on the rolling hills of the Gibellina countryside, from vineyards suited to the cultivation of international red grape varieties.
Syrah from the "I Contemporanei" collection is distinguished by a fruity bouquet of currants and blueberries, enriched with notes of violet, licorice and spices. The sip is full and persistent, with harmonious and well integrated tannins.

Very intense purplish red

Distinctly, hints of violet and currant are perceived, enriched by notes of licorice and black pepper

Full, with harmonious and well integrated tannins. The finish is pleasantly toasted and spicy.

Aging in steel, it completes the maturation process in wood for 2-4 months before being bottled.

Service temperature

It goes well with spaghetti carbonara and grilled red meats. It is also good in combination with typical Sicilian medium-aged cheeses.

Terre Siciliane IGP

Black earth 100-150 meters a.s.l.

This type of soil is found on the gentle hills of the Trapani hinterland, rich in silty-clayey substances, compact and resistant to drought. Thanks to its characteristics, it is configured as an ideal habitat for the breeding of numerous varieties of both red and white berried vines and becomes for us the perfect soil for the cultivation of Syrah and Nero d'Avola, used not only in purity , also in a blend for the Orestiadi Ludovico, a wine dedicated to Ludovico Corrao and the flagship of the cellar.
