La Gelsomina

Moscato

PGI Sicilian Lands

An authentic peculiarity in the Etna terroir. A 100% Moscato sweet wine, from grapes grown on the natural terraces of La Gelsomina, at 480 meters above sea level. The result of heroic sapling viticulture, in a small portion of the vineyard, surrounded by dry lava stone walls which retain the heat during the daytime hours, releasing it during the night.
The Moscato from the "Gli Estremi" line is characterized by a great aromatic complexity of candied fruit with white pulp and floral notes of orange blossom. On the palate it is supported by a very good acidity that goes well with the fresh and delicate aftertaste.

PGI Sicilian Lands

Volcanic earth 480 meters a.s.l.

The soil of Etna is both lava and clay, made up of the "gghiara", as the Etna people pronounce it, and the result of numerous eruptions that have occurred over the centuries, leaving dust to settle on the fields and magma to crystallize. This has made it a place with absolutely unique mineral characteristics, where, at 550 meters a.s.l., native varietals of the volcano are grown, such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Moscato dell'Etna.
